--Not asked of home-based programs
In 2021, 44 QIS included indicators for centers and 43 included indicators for FCCs. Of these, the most common type of indicators for center-based programs and FCCs were environment (86% and 88%, respectively) and staff qualifications and training (84% and 86%, respectively).
Across indicators, there were several differences between centers and homes. The two biggest differences were in culturally responsive curriculum and linguistically responsive curriculum. Eleven percent of QIS had culturally responsive curriculum as an indicator for centers, and two percent reported the indicator for homes. Similarly, 7% of QIS reported linguistically responsive curriculum for centers and no QIS reported it for homes.
Note that the staff compensation and benefits question was not asked for home-based programs because it refers to benefits that are particular to centers alone.
